PHTA is the anchor tenant of No.1 Birmingham Health Innovation Campus and forms a key part of a thriving ecosystem facilitating access to vital expertise in a number of key areas including: development and delivery of complex clinical trials; complex diagnostics, multi-omics analysis and health data; medical device and diagnostics development, evaluation and testing; and regulatory science and innovation.

The PHTA offers fully fitted self-contained incubator modules with flexible wet laboratory and adjacent office/write up space along with flexible integrated dry laboratory space and store. Each laboratory is no further than 40 metres from key shared amenities within the PHTA including autoclaves, samples stores, Glasswash, Freezer Room, Lab Gas Bottle Store together with breakout facilities including communal lounge, tea points, kitchen, WCs, hotdesking and meeting room facilities.
