Description

The site consists of a triangular parcel of land totalling approximately 2.57 acres, which includes the former law courts. The building is a two-storey, purpose-built courts building that was constructed and opened in circa 1997. It is understood that the building was built to secure standards, with a strengthened structure and stone façade elevations under a tile-pitched roof.There is a large two-storey atrium inside the ground floor entrance; from this leads a number of interview rooms and custody suite. Behind the ground floor reception is an open plan office and ancillary office rooms. On the first floor accessed from the upper level of the atrium is a large waiting area serving four court rooms. There are various small ancillary offices throughout the first floor. A passenger lift connects the ground floor reception to the first floor gallery. Fenestration is double-glazed throughout the building.To the front and rear of the court building are two surfaced car parking areas.
