Lancashire Central has planning consent for over 2 million sq ft of commercial floorspace. From its strategic location at the start of the M65, the M6 and M61 can be reached within five minutes, making it easily accessible within Lancashire and to the North West.

The consent includes over 861,000 sq ft for industrial and logistics and nearly 300,000 sq ft for office and other business space including higher value employment uses. The 686,376 sq ft retail will be anchored by IKEA, who's 370,376 sq ft store will be Lancashire's first. The scheme will boast amenities including a hotel, restaurants,a family pub and a gym within a high quality landscaped environment.

Lancashire Central is the biggest single employment generating scheme being delivered by the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal, which is investing £430 million in infrastructure and transport improvements. Site access and preparatory works are already underway.
