12000.00 — 60000.00 ft2
(1114.83 — 5574.18 m2)
The Mint Building is the flagship Grade A office development within The Registers and will extend to more than 60,000 sq ft.
Construction of the Mint Building will involve the demolition of a series of existing buildings that have been allowed to fall into a poor state of neglect and disrepair following eight years lying vacant. It will also involve the repair and enhancement of the appearance of the 1860s Venetian Gothic warehouse building located at 28 West Register Street, with the restoration of its decorative and intricate stonework, sculptures and windows. Having always been used as a warehouse/storage facility, this renovation will create a vibrant new use for the building and draw attention to its architectural qualities.
The Mint Building and 42 St Andrew Square together comprise Chris Stewart Group's development known as The Registers; a transformational project that will unlock the social, cultural and economic potential of this strategically important city centre location and will see the arrival of 50 luxury serviced apartments, a stylish modern office building and some great quality food and drink offerings, all of which have been designed to complement each other and to create a destination for locals, visitors, tourists and office workers alike.
The Mint Building will offer full Grade A specified office accommodation incorporating air conditioning, raised access floors and high quality finishes throughout. The double height reception area and the interiors of the upper floors will be designed to reflect the financial tradition and history of the building's location combined with its contemporary, modern style of architecture.
