JLL's Hotels & Hospitality team have been instructed to sell the Langdale Chase Hotel
on Lake Windermere in the Lake District. Lake Windermere is the largest Lake in the England stretching 17km and the most popular attraction in the Lake District. The Lake District is the UK's most densely populated National Park and has proven to be a real tourist hot spot with inbound tourists numbering in excess of 16 million per year.
Originally built in 1895, the renowned Grade II listed country house hotel is set in six acres of attractive landscaped grounds. Located on the shores of Lake Windermere with extensive lake frontage and spectacular panoramic views, the hotel has been the proud winner of the title of 'Best view in Britain'.

The hotel is a popular wedding and function venue and has 29 en-suite guest bedrooms throughout the estate in addition to a 24 bedroom staff accommodation block which was purpose built in April 2016. The site also includes a luxurious Lake House providing eight guest bedrooms, a unique Boat House and two private jetty's.
There is also a 15 bedroom former staff house which could be converted to provide further guest accommodation, a spa or a separate function facility subject to obtaining the relevant planning consents.
